Netflix Mom Indulgences

\We all know the basics of what to watch on Netflix – Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Walking Dead, House of Cards … Yadda Yadda. There are some hidden Gems in there this month (and beyond) That you can jump on after the little one(s) go to sleep.  These are 4 of my Guilty Pleasures.

Fuller House. It is sooo bad and sooo good at the same time. It’s bad because dear Michelle isn’t thfuller-house-season-2-factfileere (HOW RUDE!) but they bring back all of the 90’s nostalgia that you need to feel young again. The story surrounds an older DJ Tanner and the realization that history does repeat itself after becoming a widow herself. Stephanie and Kimmy Gibbler move in to help. There are tons of laughs, cute kids, and constant reminders of the Full House of yester-year with plenty of adult jokes in between.

  1. The Get Down – If you like a good story and are into old school hip hop – this is definitely the way to go. Season 2 is coming on April 7th. The setting is set to 1978 in the Bronx. Great music – greater storyline.

Image result for Frankie and GraceFrankie and Grace – This feel good comedy makes the golden years seem like fun. If you binge watched the Golden Girls already – this is a good modern second. There is enough friskiness in there along with a cute Frankie (we all know a Frankie and if you don’t – YOU are the Frankie) to keep us laughing. starting over at any age is hard – these two make it look hilarious. Season 3 was just released.

dish-062615-girlfriends-guide-to-divorce-season-2Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce : Oh the Woes of Co-parenting with an ex – the ups and downs the sometimes we are together and most of the time we are not – complete with the messiness of it all – plus a couple of hot guys in between.  It’s a show on Bravo – so we all know this show is based on a Hollywood life that no one lives in real life.  However it is still like a juicy tabloid.

CUPPYCAKE FAVORITES  (These are some of my baby’s favorite shows)

Word Party – This is an adorable story with catchy music and dancing animals that my daughter dances along with – This is not a show that you need to supervise your children watching. Its great for the 1 year – 4 year range. Awesome for learning new words.

275ca77df26962b057ea82fa1598de41My Little Pony – Equestria Girls – I actually enjoyed watching this myself. This is a series of movies. In the movies – The classic my little Pony that we all know and love has been updated to include some magic time portal where the ponies turn into girls in high school. These cute series of movies include cute movies and lessons on friendship.

who-framed-roger-rabbit-1Who Framed Roger Rabbit?  I had to add this.  This is an oldie but goodie and my little one enjoyed pointing out all of the characters that she know.  Cartoons sure have come a looooong way!
